This is an original Soviet order of The Patriotic WAR, 1st Class. It was issued by Soviet Mint in 1980th. The medal was made out of solid silver, gilded and hot enamel. Size is about 2 inches; number 2109925. The Order of The Patriotic WAR was established by a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet on May 20, 1942. This order was the first to be established during the WWII. These orders were awarded to officers and enlisted of the Soviet Army and Navy and also to Partisans for personal bravery and courage.
