This is an antique solid sterling silver cigarette case that was made by silversmith with the initials A.C. in Chester, England in 1927. It is double and holds cigarettes on both sides. It is curved to fit into a hip pocket. It weighs 4.5 OZ. Size 4.4 x 3.3â€. I has engraved decorative stripes to front and back. The internal gilding is in very good condition. It is hallmarked to the lid with A.C, lion (sterling silver assay mark), triangle stamp and B showing that it was hallmarked in Chester in 1927. The base is also hallmarked with lion and B.
