This is an antique solid sterling silver cigarette case that was made by J.Gloster, ltd of Birmingham in Birmingham, England in 1928/29. It holds cigarettes on one side. It is heavy, weighs 114 grams 4 OZ. Size 3.5 x 3.3â€. The internal gilding is in very good condition. The cigarette case has original elastic band. It is hallmarked to the lid with J.G,ltd, anchor, lion (sterling silver assay mark), and E showing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1928/29. The base is also hallmarked with lion and E. the cigarette case has engraving on upper left corner (see picture). Great condition for its age; great for any collection.
