This is an antique solid sterling silver cigarette case that was made by S&D company in Chester, England in 1929. It holds cigarettes on one side. It is very heavy weighs 6.4 OZ or 183 grams. Size 4.5 x 3.2â€. I has engraved stripes to front and back. The internal gilding is in excellent condition. It is hallmarked to the lid with S&D, lion (sterling silver assay mark), triangle stamp and V showing that it was hallmarked in Chester in 1929. The base is also hallmarked with lion and V.
