Microscope USSR OPTA UShM-1 was made for Soviet school teaching aids to study Natural Sciences. Microscope magnification limit 56-300x. Lens magnification 8x, 20x. Maximum sizes: 13.5 x 7.1 x 5.2''. Weight is 2.92lb. The microscope is numbered (8106) and has famous Soviet stamp ''State quality mark''. Obtaining this sign allowed the enterprises to increase the state controlled price for the goods by ten percent. When the sign was introduced in 1967 it indeed suggested high quality of the goods . The microscope was issued in 1980s and was used in one of the Soviet schools. It is in very good vintage condition but one of 2 glass holders is missing.
