The nice painting Cliff “Sail†near Yalta by Soviet artist Vladimir Chernyshov (born 1939) was painted in 1991 in Minsk City (Belarus). The signature of the artist is on middle lower part of the painting and on the back of the painting (see pictures). Size of painting 20x16''; size with frame 25.5 x 22''. Oil on cardboard. Painter and graphic artist Vladimir Chernyshov graduated from the Penza Art College named after K. Savitsky and the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. For about 30 years he worked as an art director at the film studio ''Belarusfilm'', taught at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. He also was the main artist of the Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky in Minsk. The master's works are in the collections of the National Art Museum of Belarus, the Belarusian Union of Artists, galleries of many Russian cities, private collections in the USA, France, Denmark, Italy.
