The nice painting “Candle†by famous Soviet/Belarusian artist Vitaliy Gerasimov (born 1957) was painted in 1989 in Minsk City (Belarus) in a very unusual art technique. The signature of the artist is on the back of the painting (see pictures). Size of painting 18x24''; size with frame 24 x 30''. Oil on canvas. Vitaliy Anatolievich Gerasimov was born in 1957 in Sinelnikovo (Ukraine). In 1990 he graduated from the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts). Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists. Awards: In 1998 – Diploma of the Belarusian Union of Artists “for the impressive input in development of art in Belarus†In 2003 – medal of Belarusian Union of Artists “For great Art Achievementsâ€. In 2007 – Awarded Diploma of the Belarusian Ministry of Culture “For many years of productive work and great input in the development of National cultureâ€. Gerasimov's art works are located in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus, in the fund of the Belarusian Union of Artists, the Museum of contemporary Russian ART (USA), the Zepter company, in the private collections of Belarus, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, USA etc.
