This is a very rare original Soviet order of The Patriotic WAR, 1st Class. It was issued by Soviet Mint during World War 2. The order was made out of solid silver and hot enamel. The back plate is made out of solid gold (see picture). Size is about 2 inches; low number 112448. The Order of The Patriotic WAR was established by a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet on May 20, 1942. This order was the first to be established during the WWII. These orders were awarded to officers and enlisted of the Soviet Army and Navy and also to Partisans for personal bravery and courage.
