This is an antique solid sterling silver cigarette case that was made by Illustrious silversmith John Henry Wynn in Birmingham, England in 1927 at his Hilton Street workshops. Ir is double and holds cigarettes on both sides. It is curved to fit into a hip pocket. It weighs 85 grams or 3 OZ. Size 3-1/2 x 3-1/8â€. I has a foliage engraved finish to front and back. The internal gilding is in very good condition. It is hallmarked to the lid with G.H.W., anchor, lion (sterling silver assay mark), C showing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1927.
