This is an antique solid sterling silver and 14 karat gold cigarette case that was made by Elgin AM. MFG company in USA. This graceful and elegant sterling silver gold plated cigarette case dates I believe from the early to mid 1930th. It holds cigarettes on one side. It weighs 3.8 OZ or 108 grams. Size 4.25 x 3â€. The internal gilding is in excellent condition. It is hallmarked by Elgin AM. MFG company (see pictures). The case is numbered 202981. It has a nice sterling silver bar to hold cigarettes in place.
