The coin was issued in 1991 to commemorate 100 years anniversary of the famous Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.. Obverse: on top is the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 turns of ribbon, below it is the letter “USSRâ€, below is the coin denomination is the number “1†and below is the word “RUBLEâ€, at the bottom there is the year of issue of the coin “1991â€. Reverse: in the center there is a relief profile image of Sergei Prokofiev, and there are also: below it a date step “1891â€, “1953â€, at the top around the circumference there is an inscription: “Sergei Prokofievâ€.
