The very nice vintage table medal was issued in USSR in 1979 to commemorate 40 years of the Murmansk Shipping Company. The Murmansk Shipping Company was founded in 1939. Murmansk Shipping CompanyÂ (Russian:Â ÐœÑƒÑ€Ð¼Ð°Ð½ÑÐºÐ¾Ðµ Ð¼Ð¾Ñ€ÑÐºÐ¾Ðµ Ð¿Ð°Ñ€Ð¾Ñ…Ð¾Ð´ÑÑ‚Ð²Ð¾), often abbreviated as MSCO, is a Russian shipping company based inÂ MurmanskÂ (hence the name).
