The very nice vintage table medal was issued in USSR in 1989 to commemorate 50 years of the Murmansk Shipping Company. The Murmansk Shipping Company was founded in 1939. Murmansk Shipping CompanyÂ (Russian:Â ÐœÑƒÑ€Ð¼Ð°Ð½ÑÐºÐ¾Ðµ Ð¼Ð¾Ñ€ÑÐºÐ¾Ðµ Ð¿Ð°Ñ€Ð¾Ñ…Ð¾Ð´ÑÑ‚Ð²Ð¾), often abbreviated as MSCO, is a Russian shipping company based inÂ MurmanskÂ (hence the name). One of the primary shipping companies operating in Arctic Russia and northern Europe. The medal is made out of heavy brass, 123 grams, diameter 60 mm, thickness 7 mm. Coming in original wooden box.
