This is a Belarusian 2007 Silver 20 Rubles Mint condition Coin- Gleb of Mensk from series “Strengthening and Defending the State”; diameter 38.61 mm; 33.62 grams, 0.925 Silver. Very low 5000 pieces issued. Proof MINT condition. The coin comes in original capsule with Certificate of Authenticity. Gleb Vseslavich was the prince of Minsk between 1101 and 1119. During his reign Minsk was at war with Kiev and Polatsk. He started the Minsk branch of Prince of Polotsk as son of Vseslav the Seer. Obverse: In the center – the reconstruction of the citadel gateway of ancient Mensk; at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom – the year of issue; and alloy standard; and denomination: 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 RUBLES). Reverse: The relief image of Gleb of Mensk, on the left – the representation of the unique stone icon of the Theotokos dating back to the 12th–13th centuries which has been found during the excavations of ancient Mensk, and a circumferential inscription: ГЛЕБ МЕНСКІ (GLEB OF MENSK) and the period of his rule: from 1101 to 1119.
