Original Soviet medal ''Warrior Internationalist'' and Awarded Certificate awarded to participants of the 1979- 1989 war in Afghanistan for courage and merit during the execution of the international duty in the Republic of Afghanistan. The medal is made out of brass and hot enamel, excellent near mint condition, see photos. Screw back. The reverse of the medallion shows raised mint mark of the Moscow Mint. 1.75 inches wide. Genuine old Soviet issued award, not a reproduction. The certificate was issued on December 28, 1988 and signed by Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev and Secretary of the Presidium Menteshashvili.
