This is a beautiful Vintage XX Century Russian Orthodox solid brass Cross with Byzantine crescent. The Orthodox Byzantine crescent symbolized royal power. One very rare variation of the Russian Cross is the 'Cross over Crescent'. The Cross was made in the XX Century. On the front it has image of Russian Orthodox cross and Old Russian letters; on the back it is Quote from the Bible in Old Russian language. The Cross is in excellent condition for its age, the raised letters are in perfect condition, which is very rare. Size is 2.1†(with the hook) x 1.7â€. The cross is a principal symbol for Christians.
