This is a beautiful old Russian solid brass with baked enamel Descent of Christ into Hell icon. To the best of our knowledge the icon was made in the beginning of XX Century circa 1920. The icon is in excellent condition. It has image of Jesus on the top of the icon and the engraved Russian writing on the top frame “Descent of Christ into Hellâ€. Size is 2.3†(with the image) x 1.8†x 0.15†thick.
