This is a beautiful old Russian solid brass with baked enamel Baptism of Christ icon. Christ was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. To the best of our knowledge the icon was made in the beginning of XX Century circa 1920. The icon is in excellent condition. It has image of Jesus on the top of the icon and the engraved Russian writing on the top frame “Baptism of Christâ€. Size is 2.3†(with the image) x 1.8†x 0.15†thick.
