This is an ORIGINAL USSR SOVIET Russian Order of Lenin. The extremely rare 1949 issue. Variation IV-a. The order is made out of gold, platinum and baked enamel. It has engraved number 112417. It was issued in 1949 at Leningrad Mint. The order is in excellent condition. It has very small imperfections not visible without magnifying glass. The Order of Lenin was established by decision of the Presidium of the USSR Central Executive Committee on April 6, 1930. The Order of Lenin is the USSR highest award. It was conferred on people for outstanding services to the revolutionary movement, achievements in labor activity and distinguish service in defense of Socialist Homeland.
