This is a Vintage Rare Kasli Cast-Iron Sculpture of Young Woman before Swimming. This figurine was cast out of Dutch soot iron using precision technique. It was made in the 1977 at the Kasli Architectural and Artistic Casting Plant located in Chelyabinsk Region in USSR. The figurine was designed by French famous artist Falcone in XVIII Century (1757) but the plant issued the first sculpture in XIX Century (1880). The figurine has original stamp of Kasli plant (see picture). Size: 10.5Hx4.25''diameter; weight 3.81lb. Kasli cast-iron sculptures were produced in Kasli (Southern Ural), from the mid-19th century. Kasli castings are characterized by skilled craftsmanship visible in exceptional clarity and smoothness of the metal surface. High-quality iron was smelted on a wood fire and cast in consistently fine sand. The figurine is in excellent vintage condition.
