This is a Vintage Rare Kasli Cast-Iron Sculpture of Hunter with Dog. This figurine was cast out of Dutch soot iron using precision technique. It was made in the 1973 at the Kasli Architectural and Artistic Casting Plant located in Chelyabinsk Region in USSR. The figurine was designed by Russian famous artist Chirkin. The figurine has original stamp of Kasli plant and Facrory tag with the name of the artist (see picture). Size: 6.75Hx3.75''diameter; weight 2.8lb. Kasli cast-iron sculptures were produced in Kasli (Southern Ural), from the mid-19th century. Kasli castings are characterized by skilled craftsmanship visible in exceptional clarity and smoothness of the metal surface. High-quality iron was smelted on a wood fire and cast in consistently fine sand. The figurine is in excellent vintage condition but small peace of rifle barrel is missing (see picture).
