This is a table medal issued in 1975 to commemorate 30 years of victory over Germany. On the front of this medal the Khatyn monument is depicted. This monument is located on the place of village Khatyn, 20 miles out of Minsk City the capital of Belarus. During World War II German soldiers locked all the people of this village including children in one barn and burnt them alive. It is very sad monument, which has chimneys of burnt houses with bells in each of them. The bells are playing very sad melody to remind people of the tragedy. The bell is depicted on other side of the medal. On the front of the medal is written in Belarussian language '' During WW2 fascists built 260 Death camps''. It is made out of anodized aluminum.
